6/13/16    ANOTHER SUMMER OF DIO SCORCHES VEGAS!

Hot on the heels of another amazing show with the world's premiere Def Leppard tribute Pyromania at Count's Vamp'd this weekend, Dio Rising are set to add even more heat to the Las Vegas summer.  The energy at this weekend's show was unbelievable and we owe it all to you...in the words of Ronnie, you rock!  You really, really rock!  We look forward to seeing you out on the boards often in the near future.  Be sure to check here frequently for details! \m/ \m/

1/6/16     RISING READY TO ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE JANUARY 23 AT COUNT'S VAMP'D

It has been a crazy, yet rewarding last few months here at Dio Rising. November started off with a great show in front of an excellent Smashing Alice crowd.  Thanks to those boys who always bring the pain!  It was great working with you and was a killer night.  Then, we capped off 2015 with an encore performance at our ancestral home, Aces and Ales.  Now it's time to start the new year right with the ultimate classic metal bill. On Saturday, January 23, we return to Count's Vamp'd accompanied by none other than legendary Southern California Scorpions tribute Hurrikane.  This is one big city night you'll never forget, so take a holiday and come get another piece of meat!  It's the Scorps and Dio on the same bill at the home of Vegas rock and metal, Count's Vamp'd.  The show is free as always and we go on at 10:00 p.m. sharp.  Be seeing you!

12/21/15     DIO RISING ENTERS PARTNERSHIP WITH BLACK VEIL MANAGEMENT

Dio Rising is proud to announce that we will be using BlackVeil Management for booking assistance.  David Sixx Waldman and Raymond Gobozy are great people with a great deal of experience promoting bands and we could not be more excited to be working with them.  Vegas will never be the same.  We see many great things coming from this partnership and we send a mighty two-horned hail out to our sister artists at Black Veil: Sweet Home Alabama, Cyanide, Evolutions, Mid-Life Crisis, and Miranda Trenholm.  \m/ \m/

10/26/15   BABES RSB TO GET ANNIHILATED BY SMASHING ALICE/DIO RISING 1-2 PUNCH

Now it's official and we can talk about it!  Dio Rising's show on Saturday, November 7 at Babes Rockin' Sports Bar will be in support of Las Vegas' premium tribute to 1990s metal, Smashing Alice.  This is going to be a fantastic evening featuring nothing but the best in metal from four decades.  This is a can't-miss event at the Eastside's home of rock and metal.  Bring it on and raise the horns!

 

10/16/15   DIO RISES AGAIN ON THE EASTSIDE AT BABE'S ROCKIN' SPORTS BAR NOVEMBER 7!

Dio Rising returns to our Eastside home, Babe's Rockin' Sports Bar November 7 for another evening chock full of metal and mayhem.  You don't want to miss this great night of all of the best of Ronnie James in the hallowed halls of Babe's RSB.  The evening begins at 10:00 p.m. with a very special guest to be announced soon.  Rock on, Las Vegas!

09/24/15   HIGH VOLTAGE ROCK AND RAINBOWS: JOIN US ON THE HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN AND HELL OCT. 9!

Dio Rising is pleased to announce their return to Count's Vamp'd on Friday, October 9 alongside AC/DC tribute High Voltage!  High Voltage puts on a great show, highlighting the very best of both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras.  This is a great pairing, so prepare yourself for an amazing hellride through the best of 30 years of hard rock and metal from both bands!  We have some new material (actually old material...think Rainbow Rising!) and lots of favorites for your aural enjoyment.  As always at Vamp'd, there is no cover and it all goes down at 9:30 p.m..

09/07/15 DIO RISING TAKE PART IN KILLER ROCK LINEUP TO BENEFIT BEVERLY FELDMAN THIS SUNDAY

It's not often that we get to help one of our own, so it is very special to us to take part in the benefit concert and event this Sunday, September 13, being held to assist Beverly Feldman, a good friend of the Las Vegas metal scene, who was recently stricken with lyme disease and is in dire need of medical and financial assistance.  Let's all get together at Triple B (Backstage Bar & Billiards), one of Downtown's best venues, and give Bev some of help she so desperately needs.  A $5 cover gets you in, and it will be wall-to-wall hard rock and metal, brought to you by eleven of Sin City's finest, from 7:30 p.m. until 1 a.m. There will be a silent auction and raffle as well, so bring your wallets and a good heart as we rock out and give to assist Bev in her fight.  Dio Rising goes on at midnight sharp.  We will be preceded by Cyanide, Tailgun, Systemic, Stickman Shadow, The Pluralses, CracKerman, Not Nirvana, Wicked Garden, and Midlife Crisis, and followed by a rare performance by Primus tribute gods Blue Collar Bastards, capping off the night's festivities.  It's rare that you get to see such an assemblage of rock talent in Vegas, and it is a worthy cause to boot.  We can't wait to see you there!

06/27/15   SUMMER OF DIO LAUNCHES SECOND ASSAULT ON BABES RSB JULY 10

After already melting eardrums and making new friends at four Las Vegas Valley venues so far this summer, Dio Rising visits the best new rock venue in town, Babes Rockin' Sports Bar, for a return engagement on Friday, July 10.  As always, there is no cover and the madness begins at 10:00 p.m. sharp.  Our special guests, The Unlikely Heroes, will warm you up with the best of classic metal.  Don't miss these veterans as they debut their new project!  Rising takes the stage at 11:15.  It will be a night chock full of heavy metal excellence. We are ready to rock and the staff at Babes are on the ball and ready to please.  If you have already seen us this summer, or if this will be your first Rising experience, we look forward to seeing you there!  Babes RSB is located adjacent to Babes Cabaret at 5901 Emerald Avenue, near the intersection of Russell and Stephanie.  Let's get ready to rock the east side the way that only Ronnie's music can.  Beat the heat and stand up and shout!

06/14/15   DIO AND OZZY TRIBUTE MELTS FACES AT COUNT'S VAMP'D

Thanks to everyone who came out to Vamp'd, to the amazing staff and crew there, and of course to the gentlemen in Children of the Grave. We had an amazing time, met some new friends, saw a lot of familiar faces, and dare we say we all enjoyed a great deal of fine heavy metal. We can't wait to see you all again soon! Never stop rocking, Las Vegas!

 

Dio Rising has had a great month and we can't wait to continue to damage eardrums and win hearts all around Las Vegas this summer!  Our next stop brings us to Babes Rockin' Sports Bar on July 10.  As usual, there is no cover charge.  If you haven't checked out Babes yet, now is the time.  They have a great atmosphere and always a ton of rock.  Even if you just saw us at Vamp'd, make a journey to the Eastside.  We swear you won't be disappointed! \m/

05/26/15   RISING RETURNS TO VAMP'D FOR OZZY VS. DIO SHOWDOWN

At long last, two things we (and a whole lot of you) have been looking forward to have come to fruitition.  First, it's our long-awaited return to the mother of all Vegas rock clubs, Count's Vamp'd, on Saturday, June 13!  As if that were not enough, we will be joined onstage that night by our dear friends in Ozzy/Sabbath tribute Children of the Grave.

 

It's the show you could have never seen in real life.  In 1980, Ozzy Osbourne quit Black Sabbath and was replaced by our beloved Ronnie James Dio.  A rivalry was born between the Prince of Darkness and the King of Rock and Roll.  You would never see Ozzy and Dio on stage together, but here you finally can.  Sabbath lovers of all stripes can rejoice.  Not only are we back at Count's Vamp'd, but we get to tear it up with the COTG boys.  It will be the blackest of Sabbaths...a true night of 50% madness, 50% magic, and 100% metal!

This is a busy month for us.  We will also be playing Babes RSB in the Eastside/Henderson area on Friday, June 5.  For the Babes show, we are proud to announce that our dear old friend, former Dio Rising and Arena skinmaster Peter Kizzire will be filling in behind the kit.  Don't miss the return of the thundergod!

05/13/15  D.R. TO ROCK BABES RSB 6/5 AND CANINE BENEFIT 5/29

Alright, Vegas metalheads...we're back!  After a brief live hiatus, Dio Rising are back and ready to tear it up on live stages all over the valley.  We are pleased to be playing Las Vegas and Henderson's #1 new destination for hard rock and metal, Babes RSB!  We hit the stage at Babes May 5 promptly at 9:30 p.m., supporting our friends, the amazing original metal act Quantum.  It's a double bill you won't want to miss.  More than every, we need the Rising legions to pack Babes RSB and show your support!  A good time will be had by all.

We will also be participating in the JDL "Gone to the Dogs" fundraiser on May29 at Adrenaline.  It promises to be a killer, all-metal bill for a great cause.  All proceeds benefit Animal Network. There's more in the works, but let's not give too much away.  It will be a summer chock full of Dio magic and we need all of you to come out and support us.  Here we come again, straight through the heart! \m/

Dio Rising is extremely proud to announce the metal tribute event of the year: a double bill that we could only hope for back in the day!  All the best of Iron Maiden, brought to you by Children of the Damned, coupled with all of the Dio, Sabbath, and Rainbow favorites that we bring to the party.  Kick off your holiday season right with a full evening of the best tribute metal out there!  Join us and welcome drum titan Jeremy Menonuck as the newest member of Dio Rising.

Congratulations to drummer Peter Kizzire on his new gig with Las Vegas' tribute titans Arena! You are a phenomenal drummer and a great man and we in Dio Rising will miss having you behind the kit.  We wish you nothing but the highest levels of success bringin' it to the masses!

 

09/12/14   AS TEMPERATURES ARE DROPPING, DIO IS RISING IN L.V.

Dio Rising is hard at work on plenty of new material and we can't wait to bring it out to you, our Las Vegas metalhead community!  We have added some fan favorite deep cuts and even an epic Dio classic to our repertoire, and the ideas just keep coming!  We are also hard at work shoring up some live shows in the near AND distant future.  Some killer bills will be available to all of you very soon.  Keep watching.  We couldn't do it without you!

This was a last minute add, even for us, and we'd really like to see some familiar faces out there tonight. We are pleased to announce that Last in Line-Las Vegas is now known as Dio Rising! New name, same high-quality renditions of your favorite Dio, Sabbath, and Rainbow tunes. We already have a couple of dates in the works for the coming month and we expect to be all over the Vegas valley (and beyond???) throughout the summer, spreading the love of our magical metallic muse! 04/01/14  LAST IN LINE WELCOMES PETER KIZZIRE BEHIND KIT

Last in Line-Las Vegas is pleased to announce the addition of drummer Peter Kizzire. Many of you may recognize Peter from his years on the Las Vegas scene and from his current original band, Time of Destiny.  LIL will be heading into the studio to record their long-anticipated demo and will soon be out where it counts, playing live in front of you!

 

All of our best wishes go out to founding LIL member Craig Russie, who has gone on to other pursuits.  Thanks for the great memories and years of dedication.  Long may you rock! \m/   

 

02/10/14 THANKS TO ALL OF OUR A&A ROCKERS!

A mighty two-horned hail goes out to all of the members of Last in Line Legion that packed Aces and Ales Nellis this Saturday night.  We had a blast and it looks like all of you did too!  It has been too long since we played out, and we can't wait to do so again, really soon!  We are already hard at work at some new Dio and Sabbath, and you never know if more mythological creatures may show up!  We have video and audio recording of the show, so stay tuned.  We hope to have some new clips posted here soon. Til next time! \mm/

Last in Line is proud to announce our triumphant return to our ancestral home, Aces and Ales, located near the intersection of Nellis and Twain, on Saturday, February 8, 2014.  Aces and Ales has been a strong supporter from the start, hosting two of our earliest shows.  Expect all of your old favorites, new tunes from Rainbow and Dio, and even some show-stopping surprises.  Join us for the best draft selection in the city, excellent grub, and the only band in Vegas that brings you 100% RJD!  There is no cover - ages 21+.
